For the EMEA region there will be just 108 cars per model, one for each year of Alfa Romeo's history.
Exclusive photographs show the two outstanding cars tackling the bends of the "Green Hell".
Performance, invincible DNA and Italian style, all completed by an exclusive, superlative customer experience.
All lucky purchasers of the limited edition will receive a scale model of the chosen car, a specific Welcome Kit and an invitation to an Alfa Romeo experience with a driving course at the Nürburgring.
Not to mention the exclusive certification issued by FCA Heritage, underlining these limited editions' collectors' value.
Ever since it was first opened in 1927, the Nürburgring has represented the essence of motor racing: its unique track layout through the forests, its endless bends, its variable bumps, gradients and descends as well as its popularity with the crowds have made the German track a promised land to fans and the setting for epic feats. The many pages in the Green Hell's almost a century of history include exciting contributions from Alfa Romeo, which nurtured its myth through a wealth of victories and memorable records at the Nürburgring. Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, the first SUV in the brand's history, holds the record for its segment, having completed the 20.832 km of the Nordschleife in 7 minutes 51.7 seconds. This makes it the fastest amongst SUVs, equipped with an outstanding 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo petrol engine with 510 HP and torque of 600 Nm powering a top speed of 283 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Giulia Quadrifoglio has a lap time of 7'32", achieved thanks to its superlative handling, top speed of 307 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The Giulia Quadrifoglio "NRING" and Stelvio Quadrifoglio "NRING" Nürburgring Limited Editions have been created to celebrate this historic bond, recently given new life by the new Quadrifoglio models' thrilling performances. The same bond is also reflected in an inspiring set of photographs showing the two cars in the context best suited to their amazing characteristics, on the 'Ring's most iconic bends and its most emblematic sections, including the famous Caracciola-Karussell.
Limited edition collectors' models are now available for order
Available, for the EMEA region, in an edition of just 108 of each model and intended for collectors and the most loyal Alfa Romeo customers, the new limited editions have exclusive contents, such as the numbered badge in the carbon fibre dashboard insert, and the unique Circuito Grey livery, exclusive for this limited edition.
In addition to the features of excellence that characterise all Quadrifoglio cars, standard equipment on the "NRING" special series is full specs and includes carbon-ceramic brakes, Sparco® racing seats with red stitching and carbon shell structure, Mopar® automatic transmission knob with carbon insert, leather and Alcantara steering wheel, also with carbon inserts. The front badge and the rearview mirror caps are made of carbon fibre, like the side skirt inserts. Not to mention tinted windows, Adaptive Cruise Control, the Harman Kardon premium audio package, and the AlfaTM Connect 3D Nav infotainment system with 8.8'' screen, Apple CarPlayTM, Android AutoTM and DAB. Giulia premieres the new bare carbon roof, and Stelvio is equipped with electrically operated panoramic roof. Both have mats with red logo developed by Mopar. Stelvio and Giulia Quadrifoglio Nürburgring Edition sporting the "NRING" badge, are beyond top-range and perfectly showcase the excellence of Alfa Romeo.
Massive power and state-of-the-art technology
The Quadrifoglio models are paragons of engineering quality and superior performance in themselves. For example, on Stelvio, for the first time, the 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo powerplant is combined with the innovative Q4 all-wheel drive system, with its guarantees of unbeatable performance, traction, driving pleasure and safety in all situations. Both cars also incorporate AlfaTM Chassis Domain Control, which coordinates all the on-board electronic systems, to deliver the best performance and the utmost driving pleasure at all times. Specifically, the system manages and simultaneously assigns specific tasks to the various active systems, such as Q4 all-wheel drive (on Stelvio Quadrifoglio), AlfaTM Active Torque Vectoring system, AlfaTM Active Suspension, ESC and AlfaTM DNA Pro selector with Race function. The Torque Vectoring technology optimises Stelvio and Giulia's drive distribution and accentuates their sporting character. The two electronically controlled clutches in the Torque Vectoring system make it possible to control torque delivery to each wheel separately. This ensures the optimal transfer of power to the ground in all driving situations. This makes the Stelvio safe and fun to drive at all times, without recourse to intrusive inputs from the stability control system. The 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, supplied as standard, is specifically calibrated to shift in just 150 milliseconds in Race mode. The transmission has a lock-up clutch to give the driver a powerful, precise feeling of in-gear acceleration. Depending on the DNA mode set, new auto 'box optimises fluidity, comfort and ease of driving in all environments, including around town, and further improves fuel efficiency and cuts CO2 emissions. So the excellence on offer is not just in performance: both the Alfa Romeo sports SUV and the sedan are also incredibly efficient in terms of emission and fuel efficiency, thanks also to their electronically controlled cylinder deactivation system and the sailing function, available in Advanced Efficiency driving mode. Last but not least, to maximise the driving experience, they are both equipped with paddle shifters machined from solid aluminium which are integral with the steering column.
A total, unique experience
Alfa Romeo has created a truly premium, complete, superlative brand experience for the 216 purchasers of the Giulia Quadrifoglio "NRING" and Stelvio Quadrifoglio "NRING" Nürburgring Limited Editions. The purchasing experience begins even in the run-up to delivery, as the car's arrival is preceded by consignment of a numbered model to scale 1:18. There is another surprise in store when the car is collected: on board, the purchaser will find the Welcome Kit, comprising Sparco® racing gloves and customised soft shell jacket, sports bag in the Alfa Romeo pattern, "Quadrifoglio" cuff-links and the original footwear created by Car Shoe, Alfa Romeo licensee for a "Quadrifoglio" capsule collection. In leather and technical fabric, the shoes are inspired by race boot design and carry the symbol that most effectively embodies the Alfa Romeo brand's highest performances. And there's more: all Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio "NRING" and Giulia Quadrifoglio "NRING" owners will be able to attend, during 2019, a sports driving technique course on the Nürburgring circuit. A specific telephonic concierge service will assist NRING customers throughout their Alfa Romeo experience.
What's more, to celebrate the birth of the new limited edition the NRING versions will have specific "Authenticity Certification" issued by FCA Heritage, the department that promotes the historic record of the FCA Group's Italian brands.
The decision to provide these special editions with "Authenticity Certification", normally only issued for historic cars, immediately gives them genuine "Instant Classic" status, placing them amongst the vehicles ranked as collectors' items (and safe investments) as soon as they hit the market, due to their exclusiveness, performance and limited production runs.
Every owner will receive a kit comprising the authenticity certificate issued by the constructor, a numbered certification plaque matching the car's chassis number, a book of photographs and the technical specification.
Alfa Romeo at the Nürburgring: living history
The new special limited editions consolidate the bond between a brand and a legendary circuit. The first of Alfa Romeo's many victories on the Green Hell was recorded in 1932 by Rudolf Caracciola, driving a Gran Premio Tipo B, who won ahead of two other Alfa Romeos with Nuvolari and Borzacchini at the wheel. Three years later it was the "flying Mantovan" himself who starred in a breath-taking race: driving an Alfa Romeo Tipo B on the verge of retirement, he outclassed his adversaries even from the qualifying stages and achieved a crushing victory in the German Grand Prix. It has not just been Formula 1: from the Fifties, Alfa Romeo became a key competitor in the Tourism class, with the Giulietta Sprint Veloce, and it consolidated this dominance in the next decade with the Giulia TZ, Giulia TZ2, Giulia Sprint GTA, GTA 1300 Junior and 1750-2000 GTAm, which recorded a long succession of overall and class victories in top races including the 1000 Km, the 500 Km and the 6 Hours. The Giulia Sprint GTA is also remembered for the record of 9' 59.7" set by Andrea De Adamich, the first time a GT car with an engine of less than 1600 cc broke the 10 minute barrier. While the GTA models were unrivalled in their class, Alfa Romeo entered the World Championship for Makes with the new Tipo 33: two victories in 1968 and 1969, in the two litre class, and two world championship titles, in 1975 and 1977. In 1975, Merzario and Laffite won seven of the season's eight races, including victory at the Nürburgring. Another great Alfa Romeo win dates from 1993, when the 155 V6 TI driven by Nicola Larini came home victorious: without a success at the Nürburgring, the DTM title would have been incomplete.
Even more awards for "The Fiat 500 Forever Young Experience" project
The Fiat 500 European tour triumphs at MediaStars, the prestigious advertising industry competition.
Two golds awarded in the "Event" and "Mediastar/Promotion" sections.
So far the project has received 13 national and international trophies.
Now in its eleventh year, the 500* has scored its best performance ever with over 74,000 cars sold across Europe in the first months of 2018.
The awards ceremony for MediaStar, which aims to showcase the professional skills of those who contribute their technical expertise to the success of an advertising project, was held yesterday evening in Milan. Hosted by the Auditorium Testori, the event was attended by a large number of advertising agencies, production companies and audiovisual post-production and web-factoring firms.
The independent competition, which is in its twenty-second year, is divided into four different areas, which cover various fields of advertising, broken down into 12 sections each. The judges awarded two first places, in the "Event" and "Mediastar/Promotion" sections, to the "Forever Young Tour Experience" European tour which celebrated Fiat 500's 60th birthday last year.
This means that the project, created by the Ideal agency, has now totalled 13 national and international trophies. Last year it reproduced the mood of 1957 in three cities - Cannes, Munich and Madrid - to celebrate the 60th birthday of the Fiat 500 and recreate a genuine journey through time. Each leg of the tour fully expressed the local culture of the chosen locations. It ended in Madrid with a jaw-dropping event featuring nearly one hundred actors and extras in full costume, charming vintage shops representing some Italian-made excellences in areas of fashion, food and design, and classic Fiat 500 cars.
The undisputed star of "The Fiat 500 Forever Young Experience" project was the 500 special edition dedicated to the 60th anniversary. It paraded along the seafront at Cannes - the French town famous for its International Film Festival - just like a movie star, greeted by thousands of tourists who never stopped photographing it. It received the same kind of ovation on the distinctive Wiener Platz in Munich, one of the Bavarian city's most famous locations, with its small permanent market and the nearby Hofbräuhaus beer-cellar. Over seven thousand visitors thronged in the lively Calle Jorge Juan da Calle de Serrano, one of Madrid's biggest urban entertainment areas, lighting it up with the flashes of their cameras and smartphones to take shots of the car, produced in a numbered limited edition, as well as the splendid set created to showcase the timeless Italian icon.
The bond between the Spanish capital and the Fiat icon is so strong that it was chosen as the culmination point for another European tour on 23 May this year. This tour visited some of Europe's most prestigious cities: from Milan to London and from Berlin to Paris, then on to Madrid. The star of this journey was the irresistible 500 Collezione, the thirtieth of the special editions launched over the past 11 years. The 500 Collezione is already in Fiat showrooms across Europe. Fiat 500 has always been a trendsetter, while remaining true to itself and has been re-interpreted over time, linking its name to iconic brands from the worlds of fashion, luxury yachts, arts and sports, in an array of special editions created to explore unusual territories for a city-car.
Launched in 1957 and asserted over the years as the symbol of mass motorisation in Italy, Fiat 500 was reborn in 2007 when the new model debuted - and went on to become a global phenomenon. This is demonstrated with over two million cars sold in over 100 countries worldwide. Over 80% of sales are outside of Italy and the 500 has been the best-seller in its segment in Europe since 2013. In the first four months of 2018, the 500 was the market leader in nine countries (UK, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia) and in the top three in seven others (Italy, Germany, France, Sweden, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria). Also in the first four months of 2018, in its eleventh year, the 500* broke its own record with over 74,000 cars sold in Europe.
New milestone for the record-breaking Panda:Panda Waze is the first city car to bear the Waze name, integrating the Waze navigation appas well as being the most social media savvy Panda ever.
Waze is much more than just a navigator: it avoids traffic, it guides you to the service station and it even reminds you where you parked.
With a Cross spirit on the outside and a social, high-tech soul on the inside.
Developed by Mopar®, the integration of the Waze and "Panda Uconnect" apps enables drivers to dodge traffic and find the best route, with the aid of advice from the community, shared in real-time and with immediate adaptation of the route planned, in addition to many other functions.
Panda Waze will be gradually available in all Fiat dealerships across Europe with prices that will vary from market to market.
Fiat Panda has been Europe's best-selling city car continuously for the last 14 years.
In the first quarter of 2018, Fiat Panda and 500 together headed their segment in Europe with a market share of 28.4%.
When the most popular model in the Fiat range meets the world's most social navigation system, the result is the Panda Waze - the technological gem which continues the model's mission: to make the smartest solutions, simplify and improve life at the wheel, while being affordable for all.
The new Panda Waze special series is the first city car in the segment to integrate the famous Waze navigation app with the equally well known "Panda Uconnect" app, allowing them to be used simultaneously, switching between them with just a touch on your smartphone display.
This digital combination was developed by Mopar, the FCA brand that handles after-sales products and services for the Group's cars, and means drivers are free to focus on their driving, while still enjoying a vast array of services. There's no doubt about it: Panda Waze is the ideal car for escaping the daily grind for urban adventures, sharing photographs, travel advice and driving experiences.
The new Panda Waze is also the meeting of two vast communities: the 7.5 million Fiat Panda fans who have chosen the car, from 1980 to the present, as in the manifesto of "freedom on four wheels", and the more than 100 million connected Waze users worldwide, who actively collaborate by sharing real-time traffic information for the smartest possible travel.
All the benefits of digital integration of Waze and "Panda Uconnect"
The new Panda Waze special series marks a major step forward in infotainment with the integration of two unique smartphone apps: Waze and "Panda Uconnect". In the digital era, huge amounts of data must be exchanged in real time and monitored using connected devices and user-friendly interfaces. So now drivers will only have to fit their smartphone into the holder provided on the dashboard and set off, connected and safe at all times.
Waze is the navigation app that lets drivers avoid jams and save time during the daily commute and beyond. Millions of motorists, united in a vast community, cooperate every day by reporting traffic conditions in real time - enabling the Waze navigation app to find the best routes. The app is always able to recommend the fastest route based on data provided in real time by more than 100 million people. From traffic information to details of the filling stations with the lowest prices, Waze is a reliable travelling companion for "surviving the daily urban adventure".
The Waze navigation is integrated in the "Panda Uconnect" app - Android and iOS platform - which allows the driver's telephone to be used as an extension of the car, interacting directly with the device display to access all infotainment functions: switching radio stations, selecting playlists, adjusting the volume, managing calls and texts, and checking your diary or the weather in real time. The "Panda Uconnect" app talks to the on-board infotainment system, which includes Bluetooth 2.1 technology, audio streaming and the voice recognition function and handles data reading via USB and MP3.
The Panda Waze integration allows the apps to be used simultaneously: with "Panda Uconnect" on the smartphone, Waze navigation appears in a box on the screen, with route instructions and the estimated time left to destination. Naturally, the reverse is also possible, with the Waze app in the foreground and "Panda Uconnect" as an icon on the screen. What's more, if fuel is running out or low tyre pressure is detected, an alert will appear on the smartphone display and the user can decide to select one of the best-priced filling stations or choose from the nearest workshops offered by the Waze app; they just select the destination of choice and the navigator will suggest the best route for getting there.
In addition, thanks to a new "Panda Uconnect" app, photos and videos shot on board the new Panda Waze will be saved in the driver's smartphone gallery, ready for sharing with friends: yet another original way of experiencing journeys of all lengths, with the certainty of innovative services and a smart, social navigation system.
Last but not least, the Panda Uconnect app also features the "Find myCar" service, to help drivers to remember where they parked, and "My Car" for checking the car's parameters, such as scheduled services, and consulting the owner handbook, as well as direct calls to Fiat Customer Care or roadside assistance. Finally, if activated the "Object Reminder" function reminds the driver not to leave things in the car after getting out.
Mopar® Connect, the new set of services dedicated to safety and remote vehicle monitoring, is available* on the Panda Waze. With the UConnect Live app, Mopar® Connect adds new connected services, such as assistance in the event of an accident or vehicle location following theft. Moreover, it is possible to monitor some vehicle functions remotely, such as exceeding a pre-set speed or leaving a defined area on the map, and control door locking and unlocking. Mopar® Connect offers greater safety, tranquillity and continuous control over your vehicle.
The new Panda Waze features the Cross look and will appeal to anyone who shares its social-media language - particularly Millennials. This new target want their car to provide the maximum connectivity and a distinctive style at an affordable price. On the outside, the Panda Waze is identified by the "Waze" logo on the front bumpers. Its urban, dynamic personality is also underlined by the black details, including the side mouldings, the side mirror caps, the roof bars and the door handles. The external look is completed by the 15" wheels with a new burnished finish. The same youthful, dynamic imprint is found on the inside, where the new seat upholstery makes an attractive match with the new titanium grey colour dashboard. The lavish standard outfit includes Bluetooth radio and dashboard smartphone holder, climate control, 4 airbags, ESC with Hill Holder, tyre pressure sensor, centralised locking with remote control, front head restraints with whiplash prevention system and adjustable height steering wheel. Available with 1.2 69 HP petrol engine.
Yet another record for the Fiat best-seller
The New Panda Waze confirms the model's ability to create fashions and deliver technological firsts for its segment. For example, as well as being the first city car with 4WD, the Panda was also the first car in its segment to receive the coveted "Car of the Year" title (2004), and in the same year, it was also the first city car to climb to an altitude of 5,200 metres, at Everest base camp. And the long series of records continued in 2006 when Fiat Panda became the first natural gas fuelled city car to be produced on a large scale. It has been Italy's best-selling natural gas car every year since its launch, and its cumulative sales from 2007 to the present are also the highest Europe-wide. And today it is the first city car to bear the Waze name, integrating the app functions in its infotainment system.
The Panda Waze special series expands the range of the city car which, together with Fiat 500, has been European best-seller since 2003. A leadership also confirmed during the first quarter of 2018, when Panda and Fiat 500 headed their segment in Europe with a market share of 28.4%. What's more, Fiat Panda is absolute leader in Italy and Greece, as well as being in the top three in Spain, Portugal, Austria and Switzerland.
* Just for the launch period, a limited number of Fiat Panda Waze vehicles come with Mopar® Connect.

Market scenario and Renegade success
Jeep Renegade was the first Fiat Chrysler Automobiles vehicle to be developed jointly by a team of Italian and American designers and engineers and was the first model in the history of the brand to be made in Italy, at the Melfi SATA Plant in Basilicata. In short, it is the first Jeep to blend the design, functionality and off-road expertise of the American brand - synonymous with freedom, adventure and 4x4 driving for more than 75 years - with the style and driving dynamics that have always characterised Italian cars worldwide. Renegade was also the first global Jeep model built on three continents. In addition to Europe, it is assembled at the GAC FCA plant in Guangzhou, China, and in Pernambuco, Brazil.
With more than 73,200 new registrations in 2017, Renegade was the best-selling Jeep SUV in Europe and in several major markets across the continent, including Italy, France, Spain, Germany and the UK.
In May 2018, Renegade was the best-selling Jeep model in the European market with sales up 19.1 per cent compared with the same month in 2017. The leading role of the Renegade was also confirmed in the first five months year-to-date both in Europe as a whole, and in many of its top markets.
Improving on the successful formula of a highly-appreciated model is never an easy task. Today, the new 2019 Jeep Renegade features an updated style with new full LED headlights and is introducing a new engine lineup designed for European customers, and more comprehensive safety equipment beside its advanced infotainment systems.
A unique SUV, one that is authentically Jeep in a market of crossovers, the updated model enhances Renegade's bold stylistic personality and its dual vocation by honing its distinctive features. Renegade is the vehicle for short trips in town, courtesy of its agility and handling features, but also the ideal SUV to discover new trails, thanks to its excellent off-road capabilities.
New turbo petrol engine lineup
The new turbo petrol engines are debuting on the new Renegade. Based on a modular structure, they are available in two configurations: a 1-liter three-cylinder delivering 120 hp of peak power and 190 Nm of peak torque paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a 1.3-liter four-cylinder delivering 150 hp paired with a DDCT dual clutch transmission - both with front-wheel drive. A lively turbo 1.3-liter, 180 hp paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission with torque converter and 4WD is also available. Peak torque of both 1.3-liter engines is equal to 270 Nm.
The new petrol engines comply with the Euro 6 / D standards and feature GPF filter (Gasoline Particulate Filter).
The new turbo family was developed by the FCA Group to offer a range of downsized petrol engines characterised by good fuel efficiency and benchmark performance on a wide range of applications. The basic structure of the new engines guarantees efficiency, modularity and a considerable degree of standardisation with regards to components and manufacturing process, flexibility and future development potentials.
The new engines are made entirely of aluminium for lightness (weights start from 93 kilograms). The crankcase, developed in partnership with Teksid, is made of high-pressure die-cast aluminium alloy. Cast-in iron liners are used to increase structural robustness. They are 1.8 millimetres thick and coated on the outside with aluminium to create a "metallurgical bond" between liner and block. After having studied various crankcase designs, an architecture with bedplate was chosen as it offers the best balance of noise, vibrations, weight and structural performance.
In order to maximise effectiveness and ensure better performance and fuel efficiency than the ones they replace, the new engines have a 70-millimetre bore with a stroke-to-bore ratio of 1.24 and a 10-millimetre crank offset. This forms a very compact combustion chamber to benefit thermal efficiency. A conrod-crank architecture with improved mechanical efficiency results in minimised friction. All three and four-cylinder turbo engines implement this innovative combustion module with a 0.33-liter unit displacement.
The head has four valves per cylinder and a single camshaft. The compact combustion chamber structure and the high-tumble intake ducts ensure air turbulence and short combustion time with regular flame propagation, which implies high thermal efficiency and knock control. The high engineering level of the new drivetrain is demonstrated by the presence of many innovative technical features, such as direct fuel injection to maximise volumetric efficiency and a low-inertia turbocharger managed by an electrically controlled Wastegate actuator paired with a water-cooled supercharger module in the intake manifold to ensure quicker transient response.
The third generation of the exclusive MultiAir technology, that improves combustion efficiency by adjusting valve lift and timing, is debuting on the new turbo engines. The latest MultiAir III evolution further optimises independent intake valve opening and closing. By implementing specific intake and exhaust cam profiles, low-load efficiency is improved by recirculating the exhaust gas by opening the intake valves in advance, while high-load output is emphasised at the same time by delaying the intake valve closing. In other words, MultiAir III technology can reduce the real compression ratio, controlling knock and substantially improving fuel efficiency also when the engine is delivering high power.
The new turbo engines were tuned in over 75,000 hours of virtual analysis, 60,000 hours of off-vehicle testing and five million kilometres driven worldwide both on and off-road to test robustness and reliability.
The new Jeep Renegade is the first model of the Group to implement the innovative turbo petrol engine range, designed to offer the enjoyable driving experience that customers expect from a Jeep SUV, while saving up to 20 percent of fuel with respect to its predecessors and delivering excellent driving comfort.
Two powerful 1.6-liter and 2-liter MultiJet II turbodiesel engines with Stop&Start
The new 2019 Jeep Renegade can also be equipped with a 1.6-liter or a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine. Both engines feature second-generation MultiJet technology, developed and patented by the FCA Group. Two displacements and three power levels are available, namely a 1.6-liter, 120 hp engine, paired with manual or DDCT dual clutch transmission, and a 2.0-liter, 140 and 170 hp with manual or nine-speed automatic transmission.
To maximize after-treatment efficiency, these engines adopt "SCR on filter", a solution that integrates the Selective Catalyst Reduction functionality over a DPF substrate, in order to promote:
- NOx reduction through AdBlue injection (the underfloor passive SCR manages ammonia slip, continuing the reduction process),
- particulate Matter reduction, through regeneration management.
The power and torque curves confirm the excellence of the MultiJet II family delivering high levels of performance and efficiency.
The new 2019 Renegade features a new front-end design delivering a more modern look thanks to a new front fascia, which now sports a redesigned, cut-in silhouette 7-slot Jeep grille - similar to the Wrangler, new headlamps and fog lamps. The roof bars are black on Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk models.
Key new features of the model are the new headlamps with full-LED daytime running lights, high beam, low beam and fog lamps (optional on Limited and Trailhawk) that enhance the vehicle's efficiency and safety. Thanks to the new front lighting, visibility is increased by 50 per cent with respect to halogen headlamps and brightness is improved by 20 per cent with respect to Xenon headlamps. Both the perception of depth and lateral illumination are improved. These changes deliver a personal, evolved and modern look to the front end of the Renegade that is in-line with the typical Jeep styling. The rear end also features updated taillamps with new LED light clusters, available on Limited and Trailhawk. The light clusters are a key design element of the rear end of the vehicle featuring a characteristic X pattern inspired by the Wrangler - this is another unmistakable Jeep design element that defines the character of the two models.
The exteriors are completed by new wheels, which convey an exclusive appeal to the Renegade and further add to the endless possibilities of customisation offered to its customers. The new model year offers seven different wheel options - including 16-inch, 17-inch, 18-inch and 19-inch - with the latter introduced for the first time and exclusive to the Limited trim - all featuring special finishes.
The result is a vehicle which is inspired by the design of Jeep Wrangler through mutual stylistic hints and influences, and is characterised by an even more distinctive and innovative styling, while remaining true to the tradition of the Jeep brand. The exterior of the vehicle retains the functionality that has always been a distinctive feature of the Renegade design and its robust-shaped body. Two open-air roof systems are available to provide customers with open-air freedom - another common and unmistakable feature shared with the Wrangler: a large, dual pane electric sliding glass roof and the exclusive My Sky, characterised by two lightweight panels which can be easily removed and stowed in the boot.
Inside: attention to details, roominess and functionality
The interiors display an authentic and modern look, in line with the DNA of the brand. The passenger compartment is characterised by an extreme attention to details, innovative colour combinations, quality materials, high-tech contents, and practical and functional storage compartments.
Since its launch, Renegade has stood out for its all-round functionality. This has been further enhanced to offer a new central console, which now features a built-in smartphone holder, new cup holders and additional storage compartments, including a pocket for an iPad Mini or other small accessories. Also new is the position of the additional USB port (now located at the rear of the central armrest for easy access by backseat passengers), standard from the Longitude up. These clever solutions provide more than 1.2 liters of additional storage compartment.
Even in terms of interior roominess, the Renegade is at the top of its category, distinguishing itself in terms of headroom and width of the seats.
Renegade also offers several interior customisation possibilities, thanks to different configurations specific for each trim level. This allows customers to choose the trim closest to their needs, between the Trespass Black and Polar Plunge upholsteries. The latter, for example, is offered in the Ski Grey and Black leather combination with Ski Grey stitching on the Limited trim. Further design improvements include refreshed bezels on the radio, climate vents, central tunnel and speakers. Some details shared with Wrangler are also found inside, including the wide, horizontal instrument panel with central focal points and trapezoidal details.
Legendary Jeep off-road capability
The new Jeep Renegade is available in two configurations, with two- or four-wheel drive. Legendary Jeep off-road capability is guaranteed by two advanced 4x4 systems, Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low which secure benchmark performance in all conditions of use. Jeep Selec-Terrain is integrated with four settings (Auto, default mode with rear axle disconnect; Snow, 4WD mode calibrated to reduce understeering; Sand and Mud, 4WD mode for maximising low-speed traction promoting further wheel spin) for optimal response on all road surfaces.
Jeep Active Drive
Jeep Active Drive is a fully automatic system and delivers seamless operation in and out of four-wheel drive, and at any speed, reducing energy loss when 4WD is not needed to the benefit of fuel efficiency. The system does not require any driver intervention, delivers yaw correction during dynamic events and improves response in both understeer and oversteer conditions. Jeep Active Drive can transfer up to 2,000 Nm of torque to the rear wheels, enabling optimal grip in low-traction conditions. A variable wet clutch housed in the rear wheel drive mode uses patented Jeep algorithms to provide the proper amount of torque for any driving condition, including low-traction surfaces, aggressive starts and dynamic driving.
Jeep Active Drive Low
Jeep Active Drive Low integrates Jeep Active Drive taking the crawl ratio to 20:1 for genuine 4x4 performance. The system, paired with the 2.0-liter diesel engine and nine-speed transmission, guarantees the best off-road capabilities of the category in extreme off-road driving conditions. Jeep Active Drive Low adds Hill-Descent Control functions to Selec-Terrain.
Hill-Descent Control (HDC) allows gradual, controlled downhill driving on rough or slippery terrain without the driver needing to press the brake pedal. When active, the vehicle can tackle steep downhill courses by exploiting the ABS brakes to control the speed of each wheel and guarantee optimal momentum and rhythm.
With its independent-wheel suspension able to guarantee a maximum wheel articulation up to 205 mm and a ground clearance of up to 210 mm, Jeep Renegade Trailhawk defines the reference in the segment and offers best-in-class 4x4 capability. Furthermore, on this version, Selec-Terrain integrates the Rock function to maximise wheel traction and improve grip.
Connectivity and infotainment
Depending on the trim, the new Jeep Renegade can be equipped with UconnectTM 5-inch, UconnectTM 7-inch or UconnectTM 8.4-inch NAV, which include touchscreens and easy-to-use features, and a more powerful processor with improved response capability. This allows for the driver to control the climate system, the sound system and much more directly from the UconnectTM display, resulting in additional safety while driving.
Both UconnectTM 7-inch or 8.4-inch NAV systems also feature a high-definition, capacitive, full-color touchscreen which significantly enhances the user interface experience, offering pinch and zoom capability and a customisable menu bar with 'Drag and Drop'. Functions of the UconnectTM system also include hands-free calling, navigation and text-to-talk features for a safe, comfortable and connected everyday driving experience. UconnectTM navigation with detailed instructions is standard on Uconnect 8.4-inch NAV with user-friendly voice controls allowing Jeep customers to simply say the destination address and start navigation.
Integration for Apple CarPlay and Android AutoTM compatibility
The UconnectTM 7-inch and 8.4-inch NAV systems on the new Renegade can integrate with Apple CarPlay, the smartest and safe way to use the iPhone while driving.
The infotainment system is also compatible with Android AutoTM that brings the best of Google directly to the mid-size Jeep SUV.
More in detail, Apple CarPlay shows road directions optimised according to traffic conditions and can be used to make and receive phone calls, open text messages and play music while remaining focused on the road. Android AutoTM allows customers to continue the Android experience in the car, by mirroring apps and services of the central display and is designed to make retrieving information while driving easy and safe. The driver may use Google MapsTM to receive road directions and easily access music, multimedia content and the favourite messaging applications.
Waze for Android Auto allows owners to enjoy the features of the Waze community directly on the vehicle's central display. Easy, immediate interaction with devices provides the convenience of maintaining the same operating system even in the car, for safe, simplified and constantly connected driving, meaning great quality of life onboard and improved ergonomics.

All earned prizes are saved on a specific page, a sort of virtual showcase.
Top level safety features
The new Jeep Renegade was developed to guarantee top level protection courtesy of several state-of-the-art safety systems, offered as standard or optional, and including six standard airbags and ESC (electronic stability control) with ERM (electronic rollover mitigation).
The 2019 model year has been updated to include new contents that complement the offer in terms of safety ensuring maximum protection and comfort. Now standard on the entire range are Lane Sense Departure Warning-Plus and Intelligent Speed Assist with Traffic Sign Recognition.
Lane Sense Departure Warning-Plus uses the optical sensor of the camera to establish the position of the vehicle on the road. In case of unintentional lane departure, occurring when the system detects a lane drift without the turn signal being switched on, Lane Keeping Assist provides corrective action to return the vehicle back to its original position.
The new Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) system is able to recognise road signs, including speed limits with and without restrictions, and to notify the driver through an alert that can be viewed on the instrument panel. In combination with the Intelligent Speed Assist system (which can be operated comfortably via the steering wheel controls), the speed can be set to the limits that the TSR has previously identified. However, the driver is free to ignore the system's notifications and to reject the speed limits indicated by the traffic sign.
An updated Automatic park assist - park sense® (available after launch) simplifies manoeuvring into - and now also out of - parking spots. It is based on the same functions as the previous version of the system. Automatic steering is implemented by means of sensors and cameras, integrating the side obstacle detection function.
To ensure more comfort and provide the trademark functionality of the Renegade, the refreshed model has an updated Function Pack which now includes new features, such as folding rear-view mirrors operated when locking the vehicle and power windows which can be operated using the fey fob remote control. All power windows are one touch up/down.
To guarantee maximum protection, the complete offer of optional safety systems on the Jeep Renegade also includes Forward Collision Warning-Plus with Active Emergency Braking standard (standard on Limited), Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection.
Alfa Romeo Giulia Wins the 25th Edition of the “Compasso d’Oro ADI” Award
The award ceremony of the prestigious prize, created in 1954, took place at Castello Sforzesco - Cortile della Rocchetta in Milan.
During the ceremony, the public admired a Giulia Quadrifoglio and a 4C Spider "Italia", two cars which express the racing spirit that runs in the Alfa Romeo DNA.
Alfa Romeo Giulia won the 25th edition of the "Compasso d'Oro ADI", the most prestigious world design award. Created in 1954, the Compasso d'Oro ADI Award is assigned on the basis of a pre-selection made by the ADI (Italian Industrial Design Association) Osservatorio Permanente del Design, which consists of a committee of experts, designers, critics, historians and specialist journalists, all continuously working, year by year, to gather information and assess the best products. Giulia, like every Alfa Romeo, springs from the perfect balance of heritage, speed and beauty that makes it the highest expression of Italian style in the automotive world. It incorporates all the distinguishing features of quintessential Italian style and unique Alfa Romeo elements: impeccable sense of proportions, simplicity and superior surface quality finish, for an innovative design that is faithful to a universally appreciated tradition.
Proportions are based on the technical architecture of the entire car and are a direct consequence of the latter, while stylistic details are sculpted on its mechanics. The new Giulia stands out for its short front overhang, long bonnet and long front wings, retracted passenger compartment settled on the drive wheels and muscular rear wings which visually mark the point where power is unleashed onto the road. Elongated tail typical of rear-wheel drive cars balances proportions and guarantees an adequate boot capacity. This general profile springs from the adoption of a longitudinal front engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Engine and mechanical components are arranged to ensure perfect balance of weights. This results in an extremely generous wheelbase packaged in a compact body. These proportions draw the dynamic shape of an ellipsis in plan view. In addition, the rounded angles and the enveloping pillars convey momentum to the car creating a "drop-shaped" profile which is reminiscent of the Giulietta Sprint, one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
A second aspect of the Italian style is "simplicity" capable of enshrouding what is in fact one of the most complex creative processes in industry - designing a car. It is up to style to conceal the long, complex work behind a simple, natural line which enhances elegant shapes and sophisticated Italian taste. Alfa Romeo design has always been expressed by means of clean, hand drawn lines, paired seamlessly with pure, hand sculpted surfaces. Once again, the new Giulia boasts a strong identity drawn in few simple, sophisticated strokes. A line gouged along the sides which marks the doors and envelops the handles and, naturally, the legendary trefoil nose - arguably the most famous, recognisable style element in automotive history. Another characteristic trait is quality, which satisfies both sight and touch, and creates rich, harmonious reflections across the volumes of the car. Outside, the shape of the new Giulia is statuesque, recalling a big cat just about to pounce.
An essential component in the design of the new Giulia, which inspired its design, is the driver. The interior of the car focuses on driving satisfaction in a clean and essential way: the presence of non-invasive technology can be perceived among the instruments which pivot around the driver. The tunnel is diagonal, the dashboard slightly undulated and the steering wheel, which groups together all the main controls, is small and straightforward, suitable for any driving style. The whole package is framed by fine materials, picked for their tactile and visual impact and assembled with bespoke care.
The prestigious award was given at the Castello Sforzesco - Cortile della Rocchetta in Milan, where the public admired an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, the most powerful street-legal sedan ever created by Alfa Romeo, together with an exclusive 4C Spider "Italia" special edition.
The first fits a V6 BiTurbo petrol engine delivering 510 hp and 600 Nm, entirely made of aluminium, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The weight-to-power ratio at the top of its category - 2.99 kg/hp - comes courtesy of the expansive use of materials such as carbon fibre, also for the roof, bonnet, front splitter, rear nolder and skirt side inserts. A 4C Spider "Italia" will be shown next to the Giulia. This special edition sports the Misano Blue bodywork with gloss black inserts on the bumper exclusive to the 108 cars in this collectors' version. On the outside, eye-catching features include the iconic Alfa Romeo five-spoke wheels, 18-inch at the front and 19-inch at the rear, and the yellow brake calipers that match the stitching on the seats, dashboard, steering wheel and door panels. The side proudly displays an exclusive "Spider Italia" sticker in the three colours of the Italian flag. The standard outfit of the 4C Spider "Italia" includes Akrapovič titanium central twin tailpipes with dual mode function and carbon trim. The equipment is completed by Alpine premium Hi-Fi system, with subwoofer, numbered badge on the central tunnel and aluminium "Italia" dashboard plaque.
An extraordinary birthday for the Alfa Romeo brand
On 24 June, the brand turns 108 years old: a special anniversary in a 2018 full of events.
The Nürburgring Edition Giulia Quadrifoglio e Stelvio Quadrifoglio "NRING" special series have been released, with 108 units of each model being made available.
On Sunday, it will be possible to watch the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team race live in the "Sala Giulia" of the Museo Storico di Arese.
The museum will exhibit the prestigious "Compasso d'Oro ADI", the most authoritative global prize in the field of design, awarded to the Alfa Romeo Giulia on Wednesday.
On 24 June, the Alfa Romeo brand turns 108 years old: in fact, the first car to bear the A.L.F.A. brand on its radiator, the 24 HP, was designed even before the Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica was founded on 24 June, 1910, and the "Corsa" version immediately achieved excellent results in various competitions.
Alfa Romeo's 108 years of history are characterised by a DNA made of racing and competition, which is reflected today in the special limited edition colours of the Nürburgring Edition Giulia Quadrifoglio "NRING" and Stelvio Quadrifoglio "NRING". These are two extraordinary cars, with just 108 of each model made to mark Alfa Romeo's 108 years; they represent the brand's excellence in terms of technical content, performance and style. In addition to these elements, there is the satisfying and exclusive customer experience, intended for collectors and the most loyal customers who will be driving these concentrates of prized performance and technology. In fact, in addition to the characteristics of the Quadrifoglio versions, the "NRING" versions have full specs equipment and a dedicated "Welcome kit".
The 510 HP, 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo engine adopted on the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the most powerful Alfa Romeo engine available for road use today; it is also capable of excelling on the track: it is no coincidence that the Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the fasted SUV in the world, holding first position in the category on the Nürburgring circuit, where Alfa Romeo has written indelible pages of its long and glorious history. The Stelvio exploited its 600 Nm of torque, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and top speed of 283 km/h to cover the 20.832 km of the Nordschleife in 7 minutes, 51.7 seconds.
Not only the Nürburgring: this season also marked Alfa Romeo's return to the Formula 1 tracks, and the celebrations that the Museo Storico di Arese has planned for its birthday are a tribute its "cuore sportivo" (sports heart). For the occasion, the C37 Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team showcar will be at the "La Macchina del Tempo" to represent the link between the brand's past, present and future. In Arese, in fact, the "Alfetta" 158 with which Nino Farina won the first Formula 1 Championship in 1960, and the 159 in which Juan Manuel Fangio repeated the feat the following year, are permanently exhibited.
For one day, this historically rich place will transform into a stand from which fans can watch the "Pirelli" Formula 1 Grand Prix in France, in collaboration with Sky Sports. To recreate the atmosphere, not only is there the charming C37, but also the original overalls worn by the official drivers of the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team, Charles Leclerc and Marcus Ericsson, in the first races of the 2018 F1 Championship, autographed by the drivers.
The event is scheduled for 16:10 in Sala Giulia - the hall in which the car that represents the new paradigm of the Alfa Romeo brand was presented for the first time worldwide on 24 June 2015 - for live coverage of the race from Le Castellet. A paradigm of evident success: In fact, the Alfa Romeo Giulia was recently awarded the "Compasso d'Oro ADI", the most authoritative global design prize, awarded by a panel of specialised experts, designers, critics, historians and journalists, and the award will be exhibited at the Museo Storico.
Giulia, like every Alfa Romeo, springs from the perfect balance of heritage, speed and beauty that makes it the highest expression of Italian style in the automotive world. It incorporates all of the distinguishing features of quintessential Italian style and the unique elements that Alfa Romeo has expressed with extreme evolutionary consistency for 108 years: an impeccable sense of proportions, simplicity and superior surface quality finish, for an innovative design that is faithful to a universally appreciated tradition.
