Doblo Cargo crowned Light Van of The Year for third successive time
The Fiat Professional Doblo Cargo has been named 'Light Van of the Year' for the third successive time at the prestigious What Van? Awards 2018.
And, in a highly successful London awards ceremony for Fiat Professional, the brand's popular Fiorino was highly commended in the 'Small Van' category, demonstrating the depth and appeal of Fiat Professional's light commercial vehicle line-up.
The Doblo Cargo's payload of up to one tonne, the load volume of up to 5.0m3, and the range of efficient 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel and 1.4-litre petrol engines have made the multi award-winning van top choice not only for fleet operators, but for the awards' judging panel too.
The judges were impressed by the new Doblo Cargo's class-leading attributes including excellent dynamics and comfort - courtesy of its sophisticated bi-link suspension - the segment-leading load and volume capacities and its solidity, robustness, and extensive range.
"The fact that the Doblo Cargo has won the Light Van Award for three years in a row provides compelling evidence of its enduring quality," says James Dallas, Editor of What Van?. "Top notch handling and a high standard of build quality are among the Doblo's virtues but it is the breadth of range that really sets it apart - with load volumes of 3.4m3 to 5.0m3 and payload capacities extending from 750kg to a meaty 1,005kg."
Accepting the award for Doblo Cargo, Richard Chamberlain, Country Manager, Fiat Professional, said: "We are hugely proud of both the Doblo and Fiorino and are delighted to see them claim two more high profile awards for our brand.
"These awards are particularly special as they are given by a panel of experts who truly understand the LCV market and who know what van customers are looking for. The awards are further evidence of the strength and competitiveness of Fiat Professional's van line-up, which has recently been bolstered by the arrival of the Talento and Fullback pick-up, and underline the huge strides the brand is making as it grows and enhance its reputation."
The most capable mid-size sport-utility vehicle (SUV) boasts a new, authentic and premium design, along with fuel-efficient powertrain options. Additional images and complete vehicle information will be available January 16, 2018, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The new Mopar® Connect infotainment services
In the digital era, huge amounts of data must be exchanged in real time and monitored using connected devices and user-friendly interfaces. Mopar® Connect follows this principle offering an array of additional services that customers can manage using the Uconnect LIVE app. The most interesting include road rescue, help in case of an accident and the possibility of remotely controlling the door locking and unlocking function. Other features include locating the vehicle in case of theft, sending an alert if a certain speed limit is exceeded or if the vehicle leaves a zone previously delimited on a map. Finally, Mopar® Connect shows the position of the parked car and can be used view information on its conditions (fuel level, battery charge, tyre pressure).
Mopar Connect® is integrated with the Uconnect LIVE connected services (my:Car, eco:Drive, G:Skills and TomTom LIVE). These are complemented by two new services: my:Assistant and my:Remote Control. For example, with my:Assistant, in case of a road accident, Mopar® Connect detects the emergency and calls an operator who will help to activate rescues. A similar procedure is implemented in case of theft: the device detects that the car is moving without a key in the ignition, activates assistance and sends the car data to the Operations Centre.
New advertising campaign for the Fiat 500 Mirror family goes on air
Campaign features Steven, a technology 'expert', who uses amusing examples to show off the functions, enabling drivers to 'mirror' their smartphone on the on-board display.
The new 500X Mirror, 500L Mirror and 500 Mirror are identified by the blue liveries that reference the world of
technology and connectivity.
Mirror special series offer the UconnectTM 7" HD LIVE touchscreen system, which is Apple CarPlay TM ready and compatible with Android AutoTM.
The entire Fiat 500 Mirror family is now available with the innovative Mopar® Connect features, with a wide array of vehicle remote assistance services and control functions.
Today sees the start of the new advertising campaign for the 500 Mirror family. In the wake of the success of the 500 Mirror launched last April, the range dedicated to the UconnectTM LINK technology - i.e. Apple CarPlayTM -ready and Android AutoTM-compatible - is being extended to other two new models from the 500 family to bring all the advantages of connected and safe driving to an even wider public. The three special series models in the Mirror line-up are characterised by their cool blue liveries which hint to the world of technology and connectivity also in the look.
The underlying theme of the new advertising campaign is the concept that smart choices make life simpler by saving precious time and energy. And the new 500 Mirror family is one of these choices. Not a mere extension of the smartphone, the new technology marks a major step forward in the field of in-car connectivity.
Produced by creative agency Leo Burnett with media planning by Starcom across TV, digital media, radio and print, the new advertising strategy is international in scope and provides an ironic illustration of the potential of the UconnectTM 7" HD LIVE touchscreen system, which is Apple CarPlay TM ready and compatible with Android AutoTM. Furthermore, the innovative Mopar® Connect features, which combines remote assistance services and control functions to guarantee peace of mind on the road, with constant control from a smartphone, is appearing for the first time on a Fiat model.
The stars of the new advertising campaign are the 500X Mirror, 500L Mirror and 500 Mirror special series - each with its own distinctive stylistic features and packed with equipment - together with the friendly and appealing Steven, a technology 'expert' who explains all these technological innovations through amusing storytelling and "unusual" tutorials specifically conceived for the web and published on the Fiat social media platforms. Viewers will find out how easy it is to 'mirror' the environment of their smartphone on the on-board display, so they can keep their hands on the wheel to the advantage of connected and safe driving. What's more, on the new Mirror special series in the 500 family, customers also enjoy the benefits of Mopar® Connect, an array of additional services they can manage using the Uconnect LIVE app.
For example, Steven explains, in his own idiosyncratic way, that there is no need to keep hitting your smartphone on the car window to open the door: it only takes a click on the specific app to use the remote door lock/unlock function, and there you are! Similarly, also from remote, users can receive an alert when their car exceeds a preset speed limit (useful when Steven has to lend his 500X Mirror), or find out where their car is, when they have left it in a car park, for example, thanks to the 'Find My Car' geolocation service. Also from their smartphone, they can be notified when the car exits a zone previously defined on a map. And there's more: by means of the 'My:Car' function, they can display information about their car's condition (fuel level, battery level and tyre pressure), while the 'Reminder' service reminds them, also using a smartphone alert, not to leave anything behind once they have got out of the car.
As our charming expert Steven explains, the 500 Mirror family features are really the smartest way to use your smartphone in your car.
